Day 8
June 9th, 2007
Today was an extra special day because Ian Turner rode with us.

last summer Ian rode the North route. Riding with Ian was great because I got a chance to talk with him more about his experiences in riding across the country. To start our day we had to ride in the vans because the crew was unable to find a safe way out of town. Once on the highway it was pretty good riding. The roads were much more smooth than and I had expected. For the first part of the ride Mark St Raymond rode with Ian and I but unfortunately Mark got some metal

stuck in his tire and had to fall behind at a crew stop. Here is a picture of Ian and I with Mark who is a little upset in the background about his tire. Because of having to ride in the vans it turned todays short ride into an even shorter one. Once into Walla Walla we got a chance to shower then we headed to a friendship visit at the Lillie Rice center. They had cooked us an amazing dinner.

Todd- We are so proud of you and all the Pi Kapp guys. Your journey will make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities. Thank you for sharing the photos of you and Ian, it really brought back memories (and tears to my eyes) to see Ian in his jersey and gear again. Be careful-no more wrecks! (Moms don't like to hear about that) We wish we could be in Lewiston today for the arrival, hope you had a safe trip. Have a great summer.
Paul and Brenda Turner
