Day 30
July 1st, 2007

Today's ride was another short 55 miles from Fort Collins to Boulder. I started the day off riding with Josh and Brent however, Josh had a lot of problems keeping air in his tubes so by the end of the day it was just Brent and I. The ride was a lot most interesting than the last couple of weeks. The ride had very little time out on the open road. It seemed like we just rode through one town straight into another. The ride today was parallel to the Front Range of the Rockies. This picture shows what happens when a bunch of fraternity guys who have been on bikes for a month get to a crew stop that has two girls handing out free Red Bull. After a few short hours on the bike we rode into Boulder and straight up to the lawn of the University of Colorado Pi Kappa Phi house. The Colorado chapter is one of the best in the nation. After moving into a church just down the street we headed over to the Boulder Athletic Center to hang out with the Denver Harlequins team. The team is the national quad rugby champions. The game is played on specialized $4000 rugby wheel chairs. We watched them practice for a while, it is intense! I got really scarred to play against them. We got a chance to play with them to learn the rules and some technique. After a quick warm up four of us played against four of them. I figured we would totally get destroyed but we managed to score twice! Quad rugby was the perfect cap to a great day.
